ABG PROJECT
3D AND PHOTOGRAPHY WORK FOR XIAONING LI
This set of photos and 3D design is part of Xiaoning Li's final major project. The project was based on the investigation and evolution of the role of Asian women in society throughout history. In the brief, there were two points that I had to focus on, photography and design of accessories and 3D spaces that complemented the written work in the final printed outcome.
After research and brainstorming, we decided that the best way to represent the project was by representing the differences between traditional women and contemporary ABGs. In this way, some of the following images emerged.
As a 3D aspect, Xiaoning wanted me to design 4 accessories, two based on traditional Chinese clothing and two based on liquid metal. In addition, 3D environments with chains and lights were created to modify some of the studio photographs and thereby create a greater impact.
